Frequently asked
When is this useful?
Splitting a long lecture into chapters, removing the intro/outro from a long video's captions, or processing only part of a podcast transcript.
Are timecodes adjusted in the second part?
By default, yes — the second part starts from 00:00:00 so it can be paired with a separately-cut video file. The first part keeps its original timing.
What if my split point falls in the middle of a subtitle?
The cue containing the split point goes to part 1. Part 2 starts with the next cue.
Can I split into more than 2 parts?
Run the tool multiple times — split first into 2, then split part 2 into 2 again, and so on. We could add multi-split if there's demand; let us know.
Is my file uploaded?
No. Splitting happens in your browser. We see nothing.
